I have an HP Envy laptop with built in Leap motion and I can not turn it on using the fn + space bar nor can I find any alternative. I am not very computer literate so any plain tips would be most helpful, Thanks in advance, Lisa

just an FYI- I found another thread about HP Envy problems... I looked to see what leap motion programs are installed and find none- there is however, Cisco LEAP Module and Cisco PEAP module as well as Cisco EAP-FAST module, I don't want to uninstall something unnecessarily, I tried installing the windows version in the link and it does nothing except a message that I will have to go back and find again- didn't mean anything to me. Again, I am not that savvy with computers so simple info is best. Thanks again, Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Can you provide me with the model number of the computer you purchased?

Thanks.

This is the product name -HP ENVY 17 Leap Motion SE NB PC , Thanks for looking into this, Lisa

Have you tried installing the latest version of 1.2 x?

if this is the latest update then yes and that is when I could no longer turn the sensor on. Just tried the Beta version/update no luck, can't open visualizer.

Bummer. Ok. Try these steps and let me know what happens:

  1. Go to Programs and Features
  2. Locate the Leap Motion Software
  3. Uninstall the current version of Leap Motion (don't check the uninstall Airspace apps)
  4. Restart the computer after the uninstall
  5. Download the latest version from here:
    https://warehouse.leapmotion.com/apps/3439/download1.6k
    (Leap_Motion_Installer_release_public_win_x86_1.2.2+11000_ah1704.exe)
  6. Install that version.
  7. After install launch both Airspace and the Leap Motion Control Panel
  8. At that point try pressing Fn+Space

Thank you! I never could find any program listed for leap space but I followed the link and it works now! Thanks again. If I have any further issues I'll be back. Lisa

No problem, Lisa! Glad you're up and running. Don't hesitate to circle back with any other questions.

I am back, sorry. Once again, after an update the controller does not turn on. Spacebar + fn does however bring up Leap Motion Control Panel 4 tab window. I checked in programs and it shows the update, Thanks in advance. Lisa

Oh no! OK. Can you try running this linked program: Leap_Log_Locator.exe262 (from box.com) and PM me the resulting seven logs?

After you run it, you should have the following logs appear on your desktop:

Hi!

I really appreciate this help. I have uninstalled but the link you provided links to an unfound App Store Submission.

Hi, this a link to the SDK Terms and Conditions, it has no download...
