Mutually running tests, with just a few hours to go?!

As it is still not easy to find testers with Leap Motion and maybe also Oculus Rift, I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread to ask for testing and having confirmed the software generally starts. I think it would be best if we keep it that simple. Just tell if you were able to start another submission. Please no extensive bug testing. But it would be frustrating for any competitor, to just having missed the one shader-file (or whatever...) what stops the submissions from being valid.

Anybody in, for this Idea?

Hi 1337, i think this is a great idea !

I just tried VR-Touchscreen and got an error though. I have to head out to work soon but in the meantime, if you need any information from me that might help you debug this let me know. I've attached my system specs below. I also went through the setup PDF and followed all the steps listed.

Would anyone help me test out Corridor 17 ? Not much i can do about it at this point though, have to be at work soon.

If there are problems with our submission, can we upload new EXEs after the jam has ended and still qualify ?

Working ! Took me awhile to figure out that the Leap Motion was supposed to be on the table and not on the Oculus.

Working ! I joined the dark side, hurled lightning ... and killed teddy ...

Panik! Thanks a lot, of course, wait will test yours. What kind of GPU do you have? Did you install all prerequisites? Do you have Oculus Rift and a Leap Motion controller, and with what runtime Versions?

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Oculus Rift: Present (0.4.3)
Leap Motion: Present and mounted on Oculus (2.2.0+23475)

Ahhh ! I didn't see the prerequisites at the end of the PDF, will try again and let you know.

Edit: Ok just checked, yup i got the prerequisites installed. =(

Ok, I just tested your normal Corridor17.exe, and at least it started and rendered and reacted to the leap motion and rift! Will try your DirectToRift mode now. I uploaded a new version (RC3) showing messageboxes of unhandled exceptions if Prerequisites don't work. The Microsoft Prerequisites are just some DLLs I don't get why threy don't come with Windows-Update... (all versions of current Direct3D DLLs plus Runtime DLLs for everything compiled with VS2013)

Argh, once i run the app, i get the Oculus "Health and Safety Warning" then the app hangs and crashes after a few seconds. =(

Orbigon does not crash at my System (Win8.1, Gtx970, latest runtimes) but stay with music in the health screen...

I guess you are still using DirectHMD mode on dOculus? Please try Extended Desktop Mode, I guess thats it...

RC4 is out and I hope it will work now even without DirectX SDK installed,only latest DX runtime should be needed now.

Hey I tried weightless. Direct Rift mode just showed two little textblocks "listener". Normal Windows Version is working, but starts on my main screen. Guess I have to make Oculus Rift my main screen.

PS: DirectToRift mode shows other grey textblocks were the leap fingers belong...

Hi mrschube,

If you happen to be using PlayMaker, remember to disable the "Draw Active State Labels" in the PlayMakerGUI component before building.

I'm the dev for Kinesis. Thanks for trying out my build, that's very kind of you. I've just tried Corridor 17 and it didn't work in Direct mode (loaded but stuck at a black screen), but in Extended mode it worked great. My multitasking is pretty terrible though so I died a lot

I also tried Weightless. Looking good! Ran fine in Direct mode.

Both were running on Windows 7 x64. Unfortunately I can't try yours 1337 as I don't have a Windows 8 machine handy.
