Hi,
I Installed the latest SDK onto Windows10, and plugged the device.
The contorol panel says all the status is green.
The lights of the device are OK. Visualizer shows my two hands.

But the Apps says that the dvice is not connected.
I tried Sculpting, Kyoto, and Playground(downloaded from the web store, because the App Home doesn't have it).
From and Function says that the Internet connection is needed (althogh the PC is connected) and doesn't start.

I also tried Facerig on Steam, but it says the device is off.

I tried another Windows10 PC, but it doesn't work.
On Mac OSX, it works perfectly well.

Please let me know what should I try.
Thank you!

The Software log says:
"A Leap Motion Legacy application has connected with references to the "Interaction BOX" API which has been removed. The app should be rebuilt using the latest Leap Motion SDK and best practices."

Is it related? thanks!

Our App Store was retired in June of last year and apps downloaded through App Home will no longer work. You'll need to check if the apps are still available through the Gallery at gallery.leapmotion.com and download them from there.

In the visualizer, are you seeing the camera images showing your hands? Does the wireframe appear over your hands, showing that the software is successfully tracking them?

That message you're seeing means that the app you're using was built using our older SDK. If you wish to use that app, you'll need to download and install the V2 software from the bottom of the download page at www.leapmotion.com/setup21

Since you're on Windows 10, you'll also need to manually apply the bugfix from here: https://forums.leapmotion.com/t/resolved-windows-10-fall-creators-update-bugfix/658540

Please let me know how it goes

Yes, I downloaded the Playground App from the Gallery, just because it is not in the App Home.
The tutorial shows the button to start the Playground, but its not there. App Home Ver is 2.3.2-eodef2.
Controllpanel is ver. 4.0.0 + 52173.

About the visualizer, Yes, I see the wireframes tracking my hands perfectly.

The Apps, Kyoto and Sculpting, are included to the SDK downloaded today. Why the log says it is old...?

After I appied the bugfix, the controller doesn't detect the device anymore.
So I uninstalled all the softwares, and re-installed. The Same thing happend again.

And the device is very hot.. Is it normal? It can cause low-temperature burn...

The bugfix is only required if you install the V2 software. You currently have the 4.0 software installed. Are you planning on developing software? If so, you'll want to stay with the 4.0 software. However, you'll experience some compatibility issues when running apps developed on the order SDK.

It's normal for the controller to increase in temperature. You can try turning on low-resource mode and automatic power saving in the Leap Motion Control Panel if you are worried about the temperature.

So, V2 is the latest version.
But I couldn't find the V2 from the setup page.
When I start from the setup page and proceed normally, press the big green button, I just get 4.0 .
On the Mac, I got V2 from the similar button.
Please make sure.

So I serched V2 page from the Google, and now it worked. Thank you.

(I hope my poor English didn't bother you.)

V2 is our older software that is required for most of our non-VR applications that were built on the older SDK. V4 is the latest version that is required for VR applications.

The download link for the V2 software can be found at the bottom of the Orion download page.

So, V4 is latest, but can't use tutorial in App Home, installed with it ??
Win page suggest V4, but Mac page suggest V2 ?
You told me to download "the V2 software from the bottom of the download page at www.leapmotion.com/setup3", but its not there. Its on Orion download page, right? (and I still can't find the way to there.)

It was really confusing. I wasted a whole day.
Hope you make improvements in the website for the future users.
Thank you.

App Home is depreciated with the retirement of our app store last year.
The Orion software (v4) only supports Windows at this time. Macs require the older V2 software.
The download page is linked from the setup page I provided, which includes the Orion download link.
Our team is working on streamlining our website. We appreciate your feedback.

I found the download link on "www.leapmotion.com/setup/desktop/windows".

Japanese are completely wrong in the "/setup" Japanese page.

Clicking on the "Desktop" link from the setup page will bring you to the download page you linked.

I'll notify our web team of the issues with the Japanese text. Could you elaborate on what the issue is with the text? Unfortunately, I am unable to read Japanese and cannot tell what is incorrect.

both links says that it is "Desktop and VR', and the Japanese word "Desktop" is wrong.
"γƒ‡γ‚Ήγ‚―γƒˆγƒƒγƒ–" must be "γƒ‡γ‚Ήγ‚―γƒˆγƒƒγƒ—". They looks similar, but they are different.

English: VR Developer Setup
Japanese: VR γƒ‡γƒ™γƒγƒƒγƒ‘γƒΌγ‚γƒƒγƒˆ (γƒ‡γ‚Ήγ‚―γƒˆγƒƒγƒ–+VR)
It must be "VR γƒ‡γƒ™γƒγƒƒγƒ‘γƒΌγ‚γƒƒγƒˆ"

English: Leap Motion Controller (Desktop)
Japanese: VR γƒ‡γƒ™γƒγƒƒγƒ‘γƒΌγ‚γƒƒγƒˆ (γƒ‡γ‚Ήγ‚―γƒˆγƒƒγƒ–+VR)
It must be "Leap Motion Controller (γƒ‡γ‚Ήγ‚―γƒˆγƒƒγƒ—οΌ‰"

Thank you for the info. I've forwarded it to our web team.
