Firmware Update Issue / App Usage Issue

Using the latest software available (Ultraleap_Tracking_Installer_5.5.3_win64) I can see hand tracking in the visualizer however demo apps from https://gallery.leapmotion.com/ don't seem to detect the controller. Have tried Cyber Science Motion, Sculpting and Piano so far none can see the controller.

Also tried to update the firmware with the tool here: https://developer-archive.leapmotion.com/downloads/firmware-reset. (LM_FirmwareReset_Win.exe). The cmd line gets to [20:54:06] [Info] ResourceHost running and never proceeds from that point. Maybe it's also not seeing the controller?

The controller shows up as a camera in device manager and this on Win 10 ver 1909.

We were able to get apps to recognize that the controller was connected by installing this version of the sw. LEAP MOTION ORION 4.1.0 though testing is still underway. No change to firmware update issue.

Hi @CMIIRegistration, please can you confirm if your hands are able to be tracked in the tracking visualiser? The latest firmware version for the Leap Motion Controller is 1.7.0, please can you check the details shown on the About tab in the Tracking Control Panel and let me know if this is the version displayed?

The majority of our Desktop apps also use our older V2 hand tracking SDK which you will need to download and install from here, if you are using Windows 10 then you will also need to follow these instructions to manually apply a hotfix to resolve a compatibility issue caused but a changed in Windows 10 since we released this version of the SDK. Please ensure that you uninstall any other versions of our hand tracking software first as this can cause conflicts if left on your PC.
