Starting with the v2.1.5 release, I’m pleased to announce that the V2 software is beginning to roll out to consumers. This is a huge step for our platform, as all users now have access to the latest tracking capabilities alongside new experiences like Playground and Shortcuts, our new OS control app.
Over the past 14 months, we’ve greatly appreciated your time and feedback as our team overhauled and refined the tracking software. While we’re still just scratching the surface of the technology’s potential, together we’ve taken the Leap Motion software significantly beyond what we launched with in 2013. Thank you so much for your ongoing help and support.
In the coming weeks, we'll be progressively rolling out V2 software auto-updates to our customers around the globe. This release is a major milestone, but still just one among many. In the weeks and months ahead, we’ll be continuing our work refining the V2 experience, with further improvements to tracking robustness and performance, and additional features in Shortcuts. At the same time, we’ll continue to break new ground with the VR developer beta and beyond. I can’t wait to see what we can build together.
