Using several Leap Motion sensors in Smart Factory

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am working on a project about sense and detect the assembling components in the smart factory. I use a Leap Motion sensor to track the hand motion of an employee, but 1 Leap Motion sensor can not cover our huge rack and I need multiple Leap Motion sensors work together. It seems I have 2 solution for this problem:
1. Software Solution: Use a specific and separate computer for each sensor and them connect the computers together and use a server to control the overlaps.
2. Hardware Solution: Connect the sensors and then use one computer for all of them.

I was wonder if you help me with that, I 'm not sure if the second solution is possible, and please let me know any suggestion about this project.

Hi Soheil,

Thanks for posting about your project. Unfortunately, we do not currently have multiple device support akin to what you're describing. Can you describe more in detail about the nature of the production line you're building the solution for? It's unclear to me why you'd need a wider field of view with the information you relay above, but perhaps I'm just not getting the whole picture.

Hi dear Katem,

Thank you very much for your concern. Actually the name of the project is "Augmented Reality in the Smart Factory". In this section we want to track the hand of an employee and detect when the worker has picked a component from one of the boxes in an assembling product system, we have number of boxes in various rows and columns and one sensor can not cover all of them, we need 5,6 sensors.for whole shelf (with size of 2 meter width and 1.5 meter height). Mu questions are:
1- Should I use a separate PC for each sensor?
2- Is it possible using virtual machines to host more than one sensor on the same physical computer.?

I appreciate if you could send me some resources also about the possible solutions.

It is not possible to use multiple controllers on one machine. Are you able to use a larger screen?

Yes, I can. What do you mean by that?
Actually after research I selected Leap Motion sensor between various sensors, and if we can have an appropriate result, number of factories in Germany will start to use this technology and thousands of Leap Motion sensors will be sold.

As in, housing the components/rows/columns all on one large screen, rather than several smaller screens. Happy to help, again, just having trouble really picturing your goal with this project. If you could PM me any specs or mock up designs, I'd be happy to assist further.

Thank you for all your helps, Actually at the first step I have to use 2 PC to control two Leap Motion sensors, and I should have connection between these PCs (Server and Client connection). Do you have any idea about that? which communication protocol would be the best?

A server and client connection wouldn't hurt, but isn't absolutely necessary. An internet connection for both machines is sufficient. I'm still not quite clear on your setup, but if you have any additional clarifications, or preferably images or video, please send them my way.
