Using Leap Motion vertically

Hi,

Was wondering if Leap Motion could be used mounted vertically (usb facing ground and its bottom parallel to the wall)?
Basically looking at it from the front, the cameras are lined up vertically. Could software changes achieve this?

I am trying to use the lapmotion device while it's veritcall mounted on a wall. Apart from the X,Y,Z coordinates being different, the fingers are not detected very well. I am wondering if anyone has found a solution to this? It also seems the palm position sometimes jumps a lot, has anyone found a solution to this? Thanks in advance!!

Malfunction while capturing downward

I want to place Leap Motion device on the ceiling facing down. But the device failed to detect hands or tools when the distance is larger than a foot or so. The tracking data is also unstable. Any advice?

Also, if you need to have this work programmatically, this appears to be the way to accomplish this in the JavaScript API (Orion):
