Using Leap Motion to control Google Sketch Up

Has anybody thought about designing an app to control Google's free 3 D modeling software Sketch Up. It already has many of the features of Freeform, but using the mouse and keyboard, without the rotations. I can picture using your hands to stretch or poke the objects, as well as changing the viewpoint.

Yes, I had thought of it and was discussing it for a client's project. However, we did not go further that route for other reasons outside of Leap and gesture interaction.

The Sketchup API for plugins seems fairly robust, so it could be that one could do a unique gesture based plugin for Sketchup. I think it would be an interesting project, maybe I will try to get something going. Busy at the moment though.

It would be great to have the leap controller working with Sketchup in a nicely integrated manner. Some time ago I gave it a try using GameWave, but I did not go very far. If you have Gamewave installed you can download my gaw file from here http://gawshare.com/gaw/37/sketchup

sorry for my laaaaate reply!
I don't own a windows pc, so there is no way I could make a gaw file for windows.
Here is a screenshot of my settings, so you can simply set your own gaw file.
I must anticipate that the result is still very limited. I really wish real developers will one day (soon) release a plugin for Sketchup and for Cinema4D (my favourite 3D apps)
