Unity cannot see Leap Service of Ultraleap

Hi,
I've bought and configured a leap motion controller on my windows laptop.
Diagnostics, Status and Visualizer show everything is working well.
The Leap Service windows service is working as expected.

The problems are as follows:
1) Leap Motion App Home apps are unable to see the controller and think it's disconnected.
2) Unity is unable to see the connected controller. Getting the "Leap Service not connected" error.

Appreciate your help in helping me troubleshoot this.

Here is the error i get in the unity console log

Leap Service not connected; attempting to reconnect for try 1/5...

Update:
Unity is able to connect with the Touchless service.
This has been verified by running the touchless example scene of unity.

Unity is not able to connect with the Leap Service though.

Update:
The 4.8.0 version of the modules taken from Unity Modules 4.8.0 Releases are working for me.
