Hello Community,
I'm preparing a project where a leapmotion will track hands over a wooden board at around 20cm distance from the sensor. We noticed that using a board in natural color makes the tracking impossible: the wood color is very light, and I assume it reflects the infrared beams of the camera.
When changing the wood for a blakc board, it did work with no problems. Using colors in between (e.g. dark green) resulted in unstable tracking.
My question is: in the short distance, what is the best kind of surface to ensure that the infrared beams don't reflect too much? Does it must be a dark surface? Is there any material that is light colored and absorbs infrared?
The room lighting is normal; the sensor produced the same results in both normal and robust mode.
Thanks
