Replacement adhesive for the controller mount?

We use the LM controllers in a university library setting. After setting and removing our headsets from a stanchion post the controller mount on two headsets is pulling away from the surface of the headsets. Just curious what adhesive is recommended to replace that which came with the mount?

Double-sided 3M adhesive (like the Command strips that people use to hang things up on walls) should do the trick.
