Hey, We're currently working on behavioural assays on the fruit fly, and restricted to a 2D model with normal cameras. The LEAP sensor while designed for tracking hands should be sensitive enough to provide data where things as small as fruit flies can be three dimensionally tracked. It doesn't just make it a lot cheaper but also makes the process easier as live tracking becomes an option. I'd love if someone who's worked on something like this or knows how I could do this could start me off by giving me some leads. I'd like to see the LEAP sensor be more versatile in its approach, allowing tracking of various things.
Note : I'm decently good with tech but not entirely trained to write code on my own. At most I could make changes and run it cloning a git repository but can't easily write it up.
