I am developing an application in Unity for desktop mode Leap Motion (non-VR) and using the pinch gesture to click and drag items. However, I've noticed that pinch accuracy is really inconsistent, I tried with different lighting, distance and the sort but it appears that pinching is more accurate at certain hand angles where the fingers and the pinching gesture are more "obvious" to the sensor.
But, I am developing the application to be used for public use and I wouldn't like having a random person struggle with figuring out why he pinching is not being responsive.
Does anyone know if the gesture has been exclusively made for VR?
Any tips and potential solutions will be immensely appreciated.
