Pinch functions

Hello there!

I'm working on a project that should calculate the distance between the tops of the tumb and the index finger during the pinch movement.

I think measuring (in real-time) the radius of a sphere with the center between the thumb and forefinger is a good idea, but I can't use the pinch functions to achieve my goal.

Any help is useful

If you are using our latest SDK then float LEAP_HAND::pinch_distance will give you this measurement between the thumb and index finger during a pinch.

However if this function doesn't give you what you need then you could use the fingertip positions, make a subtraction and calculate the magnitude of the resulting vector.

I saw the examples, they are perfect, but I don't have to use the Oculus Rift or any other VR device, just the Leap Motion controller linked to Unity
