One camera has blurry spots that won't go away. Affects tracking

Hi, I've had my Leap for a while now and it's been great. I put it down for a few months and I've just tried it again now but one of the cameras now has 2 large blotches on it which affect tracking. I've tried cleaning it but to no avail.

Regular position:

Covering the sensors with a non-IR reflective material:

Strangely enough, it seems to actually interact with things, like it reflects a lot of IR light or something.
Here's a shot of my thumb about 1cm away from the right side of the working camera (top):

And here's a shot of my thumb about 1cm away from the right side of the broken camera (bottom):

Notice how the thumb seems to glow much brighter and it illuminates the entire frame. Hell, you can almost see my face!

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: I just looked at it again and it looks like the blotches are actually reflections from the IR camera inside the Leap.

You are correct, those blotches you see are the reflection of the IR LEDs on the black plastic covering.

So is there any way to stop this from happening? Any adjustments I can make? This is negatively affecting tracking.

Make sure that the top of the controller is clean as smudges can cause tracking issues. The reflection itself occurs on all controllers and shouldn't cause any tracking issues as long as the top window is clean and free of dust/smudges. If you continue to experience tracking issues, try re calibrating the controller from the Leap Motion Control Panel to see if that helps
