Older Leap Hardware compatibility

I'm just embarking on a project for a client using Leap Motion. I've got a really old (probably beta hardware) sensor (says Dev Board v.05 on the box), think it was from 2012/13.

Should it work with the current drivers or is it just too old? I've got a new one on order but it'll take a week to arrive and I need to get started.

I've tried the firmware reset app but it can't detect it.

I was worried about that as well. I bought one from a friend who got his from the original kickstarter but then I read on a board somewhere that there have not even been hardware revisions, only software updates.

There have been no hardware revisions since the original consumer release, which would have been Revision 7. Unfortunately the 5 series will no longer work (bit of a relic though!)
