Leapmotion RGB Data

Does leapmotion sensor have RGB Camera? Do I need to attach extra hardware to obtain RGB image.
Becuase on one of the websites I read that leapmotion does not provide RGB data but saw this function in the docs

createImage(image.width(), image.height(), RGB);

No, the Leap Motion hardware uses infrared cameras that produce greyscale images.

createImage() is a Processing function. Possibly using ALPHA instead of RGB would have worked just as well.
