Hello everyone,
Simply, I am facing problems in starting LeapControlPanel on my Ubuntu 16.04 PC. Normally, leapd.service used to start automatically as soon as I start the control panel without any problems. Now, it asks me to start the service manually every single time I start the control panel and I cannot find out what may caused this.
More detailed,
Like many other users, I had issues about installing leap motion driver on ubuntu because of the leapd.service. I followed the instructions here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1008964/problems-installing-leap-motion-orion/1009297
Afterward, everything worked properly until recently. I am still able to use leap control panel by starting the leapd.service manually but it crashes quite often in the middle of the work. Is there anyone encountered this problem? How did you solve? Any suggestions why it might be?
My assumption about the problem,
I am using leap motion sensor with ROS (kinetic). The crashes I faced are while I am working on ROS side. That's why I think that the service doesn't like something I do there. However if so, I believe that it should't create any problem as long as I do not run roscore master - which means it doesn't explain anything why all of a sudden my leapd.service stopped being started automatically by the control panel. I am really stucked. Thank you for any suggestions in advance.
