Leap motion works over an acrylic?

hey guys!
i am starting a project of a touch screen table and wondering:
can i use my leap motion over an acrylic sheet?
the sensor will recognize the fingers on the other side of the sheet?

I say yes.

I just happened to have some curved acrylic next to my leap and tried it out.

I would say that the Leap has to be in contact with the acrylic and the acrylic needs to be clean and scratch free.

All I did was confirm that there was tracking on the visualizer and it seems to work. No idea if there might be any effect with a more complicated usage.
