Leap Motion Sensor Device Connectivity Failed

Hi, I am not sure what has happened to my leap motion sensor, it worked fine few hours ago before I went to have my dinner + I updated the software to the latest version.

Went to did a diagnostic test and here are my results
Authentication (Passed)
Device Connectivity(Failed)
USB Bandwidth(Failed)
Device Sensors(Passed)
Softward(wave hand) (Failed)

On the hardware itself, there's a green light and 3 red lights.
I've tried :
- unplugging and re-plugging in the USB cable.
- rebooting my PC

It still does not work.

Can you try undergoing a fresh install?

I have tried 2 fresh installs of the Leap Motion Software, but it still had the same problem. What was the solution the original poster used? (Thanks for the quick reply!)

Are you going through a USB hub?

No. Just a direct USB port on my laptop.

Have you tried reproducing the issue on a different computer?

So far, only my laptop appears to have this issue. Other computers I have tested the same Leap Motion on are working.

Can you try a different port on the problematic computer to see if it's a connectivity issue? From where I'm standing, it sounds like a port issue, but if it's not that I want to rule it out.

I tried all four ports on my laptop, and still does not work. Was that the issue with the original poster?

hi there to you all, I'm sorry but it appears that I'm having the exact same problem with my leap motion device, as dear user GH38b2f82500fb5d mentioned before.

i did follow everything i could possibly find in any of the troubleshooting pages, my software log reads as follows:

[23:03:11] [Info] Tracking paused
[23:05:23] [Info] Tracking resumed
[Info] Leap Motion Controller detected: LP16699443477
[Info] Firmware is up to date.

[23:10:46] [Info] Data Rate Normal
[23:11:09] [Info] Data Rate Normal

i tried connecting the device on my other computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but still got the same sad results.

i seriously think this could be a hardware thingy, any suggestions?

Can you run the diagnostic tests from the Leap Motion Control Panel and paste the results here? As well, does the issue occur on other computers and/or with other USB ports/cables?

and yes, I tried plugging the device using both the cables provided in the leap motion pack, in all the ports of my tower and my laptop, nothing does the trick.

I'm having the same issue. It works when I boot my computer, but if I ever unplug it and plug it back in again, it stops working until I reboot.
