Leap Motion on Android

Hi Community,

our team did an experimental integration of he Leap Motion on Android. I would
like to get some feedback, ideas what do you think. We also added some new
gestures which is useful when browsing media. I can imagine this to be a cool feature on my TV.

This is a really nice project!

I've had experience with experimental integration of leap motion too, though it was simpler than getting data to android device, so hat off to you! What did you do to get data to android device? Used WLAN to send data? And how did you format your data? In my project, I formatted it in JSON format, so I can easily decode it in the 3. party software, and make use of the data.

Is it possible to run the websocket server in android.
Then I can connect my Leap motion sensor directly to the android smartphone using a micro-usb adapter, and run it as a head mounted display with google cardboard. Then render the 3D-environment with webgl in the smartphone browser...

We're in the process of completely overhauling our existing private alpha Android SDK, which is built on our older V2 software. Things are changing fast and we want to provide the best support possible.

With that in mind, we've decided to temporarily close applications to the alpha until we can provide a more solid foundation for development.
