Leap motion not working on my HP ENVY Leap Motion SE NB PC

Hi Team,

I really need your help, I bought a second hand machine and installed Windows 10 pro version 10.0.16299 Build 16299. Now leap motion hardware doesn't show any light or any sign of activity. I've installed the latest Orion SDK that installed an updated leap motion driver and nothing seems to work yet. Any help please. I really need some assistance.

Hi @danielmasila76. Congrats on obtaining your second-hand HP Envy 17 Leap Motion SE! Orion does not support that built-in sensor, but the older V2 software does. At https://www.leapmotion.com/setup/desktop/windows look below the green button and the tiny print "Or download our V2 software" to download V2.

V2 being older we've done only limited testing with the newer builds of Windows 10, so please let us know how this goes.

And if in the future you get a standalone Leap Motion Controller, that will actually require using Orion because V2 doesn't work out-of-the-box on Windows 10 build 16299.

Wow, a big thanks to you @jdonald, It amazingly works, cheers, you really deserve a beer and can one now control the windows apps and windows home screen using this version 2 of the software?

That's right, the desktop OS control apps (Shortcuts/AeroTouch/Mudra/Touchless) can be found here: https://gallery.leapmotion.com/category/desktop/

Not sure which of them work with the Windows 10 home screen, but these do control desktop apps.
