Leap Motion NOT WORKING false positive

Hi, firstly apologies if this topic has been discussed before I could not find any relative information on the forums or on the internet for that matter.

I am having a very anoying issue with my Leap Motion controller. I plugged it in today and everything seemed fine until I tried to use it.

THE PROBLEM: I plug the device, green light, infrared works everything appears fine, I opened the control pannel all green lights on, open visualiser no data frames coming in at all. I went back to leap control panel and click recalibrate, in that moment the device status changes to disconnected

WHAT I TRIED: Re-installing the software, removing drivers, redoing that twice in safe mode, restarting service multiple times, I created a clean project in csharp as well to output the status of the device according to the API and the same behaviour is observed. Check the attached image files for a better picture. Is there an easy way to resolve this as I have a deadline on the 29th and need this sorted ASAP.

Also the log file does not say anything about any errors or so. I am using the Orion sdk

UPDATE: So, most of you if not all of you are not going to believe this. I found out that it is a hardware problem. How did I do it? I put my Leap Motion controller in the fridge for an hour and not it works perfectly fine... CRAZY I know! Or is it? I thought that the chip or some of the other conductors must be going out so then I thought, well some people cool down CPU chips with liquid nitrogen to reach a state called superconductivity so I tried it and it worked. I myself am amazed of this.

For the record, I do not have the latest Leap Motion controller I have the one just before that with the 120-degree viewing angle, not sure about the board version. If you haven't experienced this problem it was probably rectified in the latest board version

Maybe the leap motion service was just not running, I have to manually start mine almost everytime I use it.

Sometimes the diagnostic visualizer under the troubleshooting tab in the opened Leap interface displays data when the visualizer accessible from right-click does not.

I'm having the exact same problem and it's driving me nuts! Everything is green and connects fine, but diagnostic visualizer shows no data and calibration makes it disconnect. Can't even get the firmware reset tool to work, it sees the device and then just sits there...

Update: In desperation I tried out that fridge technique, can confirm that it works!! Pretty shocked actually!
