Leap Motion Not Using USB 3.0

Does Leap Motion really use USB 3.0? I've tried my best to get it to connect as a USB 3.0 device but it always defaults to "USB 2.1". I am using a USB 3.0 PCI-e hub, connected to another 3.0 hub on my monitor. I have tried all ports and Leap motion uses. To verify this I am using "USB Device Tree Viewer" and instead of using the given 3.0 ports it uses 2.0 and indicates it is not supported for 3.0. In Orion visualizer I notice no improvements over using 2.0 in both frame rate and latency (might just be me), however in this article It shows performance improvements in latency over 2.0.

Is this an issue on my end, or does the Leap Motion not use USB 3.0?

The Leap Motion Controller will work on both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 but in the current software will only utilize USB 2.0 data speed.

We designed the controller to use the USB 3 micro B connection in case we ever wanted to activate USB 3.0. However, over time, we were able to achieve performance improvements on the software level without requiring higher bandwidth and decided to stay with USB 2.0 due to the system demands of VR headsets.
