Leap motion hand detection range change

Hello. I'm new to leap motion.
I'm using leap motion with Leapmotion SDK V2 with C++.
And I checked the range of leap motion from 25mm to 600mm.
But when I checked the range of leap motion on myself, the device didn't catch my hand in 400mm ~ 600mm.
My question is 'Is there any limitation of detecting hand on leap motion?'
or 'Is there any changeable parameter about detecting range in SDK code?'
If you can answer this question, it can be great help to me.

Hi @cjsgkcksgur, the hand tracking software is continuously working to detect hands in the field of view of the cameras.

I would recommend testing this in different environments and lighting conditions to see at what range the hand continues to be tracked. The V2 SDK about 8 years old now and does not deal with bad lighting conditions as well as our later software releases.

Is there a particular reason that you are using the V2 SDK (such as working on Mac or Linux)? If you have access to a Windows PC I would recommend either using Gemini V5 with our LeapC API or Orion V4 with LeapCxx if you still wish to use the legacy APIs.
