Leap disconnected

i don't know why after installing the sdk the leap stays in the "disconnected" state can anyone tell me why is that and what's the solution (i tried reinstalling the sdk but still the same problem)
i'm using windows btw and my leap is orion

Hi Yuki,

Please check what color the Leap Motion Control Panel icon is and what text appears when you hover your mouse over the icon.

One thing you can try is to run dpinst64 located in c:\Program Files (x86)\Leap Motion\Core Services\Drivers

We are having a similar problem. We use Leap Motion on five machines, and this has started happening on one of them, after leap motion has worked well for over 1 year.

We have tried reinstalling leap drivers and reinstalling windows, with no luck. Leap motion shows up in the Windows 10 settings but doesn't show up in the Leap Motion control panel.

Two of our five machines have exactly the same hardware (both components and peripherals), this started 1 week ago on one but does not affect the other.

We develop for leap motion Orion using Unity, however this issue persists when LeapMotion isn't running.

And the leap motion functions properly now.

Is the machine that was having this issue running the Fall Creator's update on Win10?

The machine that was having issues does have the Fall Creator's update, but it has been fixed using your solution.
