Install Leap on Linux (Ubuntu)

Hello I simply want to see the visualizer on Ubuntu. After several frustrating hours, (The getting started guide is absolutely terrible for linux) I have installed leap using this link https://developer.leapmotion.com/downloads/installer-preview because the current SDK link doesn't have a .deb file I can use. So I have leapd and everything seems fine. I have been trying to guess the terminal command for the visualizer for the leap (which im guessing is simply "sudo visualizer &")
However, the terminal I run that command in simply disappears.

Hello, I've been using lately Linux (ubuntu). Once installed the .deb package, the service should start running automatically when you connect the leap motion controler. You don't need the sudo for running the visualizer.
Type in the terminal:
$ Visualizer
And it will be enough to open and see it

Yes, it's a shame how promised focus on Linux disappeared once money were collected.
