Incomplete download

Having bought my Leap Motion controller a couple of weeks ago I'm still trying to set it up. I eventually want to buy an Oculus Rift and combine the two together for VR. I've download the software and installed it okay. I've plugged the controller in and the control panel shows that everything is good. But I can't see the hands showing. I can see the red sensor lights flickering when I wave my hands above the controller, but nothing happens on the screen. I don't have all the aps showing in the aps store and in particular the hand orientation window. I'm missing something but I don't know what.

Can you let me know what version of the software you have installed? If you're trying the older Orientation demo, it requires an older version of the software. If you're holding out for an Oculus Rift, you could try reverting to an older version of the software, and then re-updating once your headset arrives.

I have a HP Pavillion dv6 Notebook PC running Windows 7 and an Intel® NUC 8 VR NUC8i7HVK running Windows 10. Both computers have the Leap Motion Controller loaded on them and the troubleshooting window indicates that everything is okay. However when I try any of the Leap Motion aps it tells me that I am not connected to the Internet, but this is not true.
As you can see from the attached pdf (which is a screendump from the laptop) I can get something from Windows 7 but nothing from Windows 10.

The older apps won't be able to run on the version 4 software; you'll need to revert to V2: https://developer.leapmotion.com/sdk/v2

Also note that App Home and the App Store were retired in 2017; however, many of the apps have since been made available for free on the Gallery: http://blog.leapmotion.com/app-store-sunset/
