How to get Leap Motion running on macOS Catalina?

I just bought a Leap Motion Controller and I would like to try it out. Does it support macOS Catalina?

Also, I'd like to try some demos and develop with Unity. I downloaded Leap Motion SDK v2 for Mac, can I do Unity development with that?

What's the status of Leap Motion Controller and macOS?

you can play leap motion on mac with SDK V2, but if you want develop a application in unity, I suggest you do it in windows, because of the compatible.

Our OSX SDK hasn't been updated in a long time and the Unity assets are quite out of date; they'd require reworking to be compatible with newer Unity versions. It's also worth noting that Catalina has dropped compatibility with 32-bit apps, meaning that many of our older apps are no longer supported.

Alex, it would be great to know now whether or not Mac support will be picked up again or if Mac users need to stick to V2 indefinitely? Are you working on an Orion release for Mac? Thx

An OSX release is on the roadmap; its ETA is unclear but it will happen.

OMG I just bought this for Mac, did not do my homework. Geco not on Catalina, LP/UL same. Well, the green light is on.....

I would also like to see Catalina support. I use it with a program called Vuo and lost support with a recent OS update and would like to get things working again. Please update soon! Thanks.

Same here. It may be that the latest Mac policies restricts access to camera-like devices (which LEAP seems to be), and that getting this permission is non-trivial.

+1 I'm looking for Leap to MIDI support on MacOS. I've got it somewhat working in HTML/Javascript, but the browser seems to need to be in the foreground, which makes it difficult to work in the DAW.
