How to define a mouse as a finger?

I am student and studying the behavior of mouse. I am interested in leap motion,so I have an idea that if I have define a mouse as a finger. It means that leap motion identify a mouse as a finger and then record the behavior. It will be interesting!
I am a newcomer in using leap motion. Anyone knows how to do that?

I'm not sure I understand. Are you trying to track physical mouse movements (a live mouse or a computer mouse) or to use a finger to control the computer's mouse cursor?

It is a live mouse(animal). My idea is that I can put leap motion above the cage. And make leap motion regard the mouse as a finger. So when the mouse moving, a finger on computer will moving. Thus, I will track the movement.
I am not sure if leap motion can do that, and I don't know how to do. So I ask your help.

No, the Leap Tracking software is rather specific to hands and fingers. At best, you could use the Leap Device as a stereo camera and implement your own mouse tracking using the camera images.

In this case,could leap motion get a 3D-mouse by its camera? If can, what should do for that?

You get two pictures, one from the left and one from the right. If you can identify the matching point in both images, you can calculate the 3D position of that point. However, this isn't necessarily an easy task to do accurately, especially if you aren't already familiar with computer vision programming techniques and tools.

Yes,you are right.

Now, I want to do works include:
1. record the images(or video) of mice by the camera of leap motion and reply it. Then, check the saved data of the images(or video).
2. record the movement of a finger (or hand) and reply it. Then, check the saved data.
Maybe the data is a matrix.
What should I do (or use any tool) ? Could you give me some suggestions or links?

Sorry, I don't understand how your points 1. and 2. help you get to the goal of tracking the movements of a mouse.

Ok.
I mean that
1. we can get images by the camera of leap motion. So how to save the images (or as a movie) ? What type of the saved data? How to check the data? (should I use a tool to do that?)
2. as we known, leap motion can identify the movement of fingers and hand. Also, there is a model of fingers and hand in leap motion. The model will move according to the movement of our finger or hand. So could we save the movement of the model as a file and then check it?
The process is : save image of something (such as mice) by the camera of leap motion or save the movement of internal model as a file. Then, we check the images or file.

What I don't understand is how the recorded images of the mouse correlate with your recoded movements of a hand.

Sorry.I should explain that. They are two independent work with each other.

The one work is to get the data from camera and save it as images or other files.

The other work is to record the movement of hand while leap motion recognize hand.

They are two different works which I want to do now. Thanks!

I believe he wants to detect the mouse itself using the Leap Motion cameras. If you have access to the images, you can then use OpenCV to do the mouse detection. Not something Leap Motion does automatically for you, though.

No, I want to do a program in netbeans with buttons and press the button using any gesture of Leap Motion. It is a JFrame with Swing buttons like the Swing library.

Yes it is C#. If I remember correctly, in Java you can use Robots to accomplish the same.
