Hi @ling9366, yes, you can operate Hovercast (or any of the Hover UI Kit buttons/interfaces) using a table-mounted Leap Motion Controller, but the hand tracking is generally better from the head-mounted position.
For the Hovercast interface specifically, the palm-towards-eyes pose is difficult for a table-mounted Leap to track, since the Leap will mostly see a side-on view of the hand. There is a Hovercast component/property that allows you to adjust this angle/direction (which determines whether the interface is visible) in a way that allows the palm to face more towards your chin/chest. This allows the table-mounted Leap to see more of the hand, and thus it can provide more reliable tracking.
