Grabbing an object without pinch

Hey everybody, i'm trying to develop an application to people that they can't pinch. I have some question, can a player grab a cube just by touching it? Without there being pinch?
I have tried that distance between thumb and any other finger was big, but it isn't work.
Somebody can help me? Thank you!

Maybe write a script that sets the enableGrasping property in the Interaction Engine to "true" if contact is enabled? You'll have to figure out how the user can disengage though
