Gemini Developer Preview now available!

Our fifth generation hand tracking software – Gemini – is now available for developers to preview!

Improved features include smoothness, pose fidelity, robustness and reliable hand initialization. You’ll also notice better performance when interacting with two hands.

Our team has been busy behind the scenes to bring this preview to developers for testing. They’ve even rewritten the tracking engine from the ground up to make it flexible for different platforms and camera hardware! While this preview of Gemini is Windows only, other platforms are lined up for future releases.

I've tried out v5 and the improvements with two-hand interactions feel great! Well done.

Some small feedback for when Gemini goes out of preview:

For past Orion releases, there was a direct link for end users to download the Setup for the tracking service. This worked without needing to be signed up or anything. Lately the tracking service has only been available through the LeapDeveloperKit zip archive and you must be logged into a developer account to download it.

I think it would be helpful to bring back that direct link, because the other option is both confusing and unnecessary for end users.

I'm wondering how I could mount a LeapMotion on my computer monitor to use the new Screentop tracking. Does anybody know a good hardware to do it? It'd be nice if LeapMotion could be clipped on a monitor like a webcam.
