Firmware Restore Tool needed

I just installed the newest version of the software and plugged my LEAP into my computer. It said that it was updating the firmware, and since then I haven't been able to get a connection. I have seen a few posts with a link to fix, but the link is out of date. Does anyone have the firmware fix or know how I can get it?

Hello WWaldo,

I'm sorry to hear that you're stuck in a firmware update, most likely what happened is that the update completed but did not communicate this to the Leap Motion Control Panel (LMCP). Try quitting the LMCP and re-opening and if that doesn't work then uninstall the LM software and reinstall from our /setup page. If your issue remains then please try this Windows or Mac firmware reset tool, depending on your system. These links should not expire, ever. Please let me know if you still experience issues.

Firmware reset did the trick! Thank you! I don't know why, but the links that I saw on other pages to those tools didn't work. Oh well, thanks a lot!

Same here.

I'm having trouble keeping the Leap on for any extended period of time.
The green light stays on but the red lights on the device go out.

@alemangui and @Matt_George Can you share your computer specs including AV/Firewalls? I just downloaded and ran both of the firmware reset tools and had no issues. If you haven't done so already, start by uninstalling (Mac, Windows) the Leap Motion software and re-install through our /setup page.

Sure. I did uninstall the Leap Motion software before running the script with no success. Here are my specs:

Macbook Pro early 2013 (i7, 8GB RAM)
Mac OSX 10.9.1
No firewall

Just for info, my LM green light was on but it always asked me to reconnect it. This morning I tried re-installing everything from scratch from the /setup page and things worked well. The script is still unusable though.

Glad to hear that your LMC is working! Strange though that the reset tool still isn't working. Do you have System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Allow apps downloaded from: set to Anywhere?
