Until the rise of VR, we lived on the edges of a digital universe that was trapped behind glass screens. Immensely powerful. Infinitely portable. But still distant and inaccessible.
Now the glass is breaking. The digital is taking substance in our reality. But while there have been some incredible advances from the VR community, the medium as a whole is still largely unexplored.
Starting this week on the Leap Motion blog, Explorations in VR Design will take you through the bleeding edge of the VR/AR space. From designing groundbreaking interactions to making users feel powerful, everything you need to build a more human reality.
The first exploration, World Design, deals with architecting a space and placing your players within it. Upcoming Explorations will draw from a wide range of UI/UX thought pieces and concrete examples across a range of headsets and inputs.
Side note: our community developer survey is wrapping up this Sunday, and we'd really like to get your feedback as we plan for 2017. You can take it here for a chance to win one of five $100 prizes in Steam/Unity/Unreal credit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8SKZ27D
