Hi!

Essentially, which software version should I install to use on a Mac and develop for Python? Does the new v4 support Macs and Python?

The latest software version that is available for Mac is our V2 SDK which is available here. This version still has all of our legacy APIs in place and I would recommend reading our Python documentation here to help you get started.
