Display 3D CAD Models

I would like to try and showcase 3D CAD models in the file formats STL or IPT preferably, or others if they are not possible to use, which can be controlled by leap motion to move the model and zoom in and out. Would this be possible? Through my research I have just found this, however it doesn't really solve my question.

Unfortunately, the situation hasn't changed much since that post. If the app you use to view the CAD models supports keyboard controls, you can map keys to various gestures using Mudra Mouse or GameWAVE. The integration and feature set won't be the most robust but you may be able to get basic interactions working like rotationg the model and zoom in/out depending on how the controls are set up.
