Thanks Cade ! Yup, the submission is appearing on the itch.io jam page now. So glad we managed to get something out in time, it's been an incredible six weeks !

Hey all,

I've got reports that Corridor 17 is working except when run using the DirectToRift executable (black screen). I will try to replicate the issues on my end and fix it. In the meantime, any advice would be appreciated ? Thanks !

To setting the rift to main display and then running the .exe. Let us know!

Hi, sorry I didn't see this post earlier. Just to clarify what I was seeing with your build, the DirectToRift exe did work fine, but the Oculus Rift needed to be in Extended mode, I was only getting the black screen in Direct mode. I didn't try running the normal exe. I'm also on the 0.4.3 Oculus runtime if that helps.

Oh ok, i'm using extended mode at home too. Never tried running the game with Rift in DirectMode before though, haven't had much luck with that mode even with other apps. Thanks for the clarification ! Guess i was panicking for nothing eh ? =P

Any chance you will be expanding on Kinesis after the jam ? The mechanics are great and i found myself wishing for even more game play.

Wow thanks, appreciate the compliment. I do have a huge list of things I would've liked to get in before the submission due date, but I'm not sure if it's what I want to focus on right now. It was just an idea I'd had kicking around for a while, and the 3D Jam seemed like a good time to implement it.

The main thing is I've already spent quite a lot of time on it, and I have a bunch of other ideas I was looking forward to getting started on. But hey if it's popular enough I can always go back to it

Anyway - I don't want to be clogging up your thread with unrelated stuff. Corridor 17 is great fun

Ok i managed to replicate the "black screen" problem when running in "Direct to Rift" mode.

If you get a black screen when attempting to run the game in "Direct to Rift" mode, try creating a shortcut for "Corridor17_DirectToRift.exe" and adding the "-force-d3d11" flag. Check out this link for an example.
