Coding using the LEAP motion device

Hi there, I'm currently working on an interactive animation project. The aim is to create a series of simple animations that are projected on to a 3D object which the user can interact with using hand gestures. I'm hoping to use the LEAP device to achieve this but was just wondering if it's possible for it to work alongside code. If so, what is the best method to achieve this?

If anyone has experience doing something similar I'd greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks!

This seems in the realm of possibility. From a technical side, can you tell me about the software/platforms you plan to use to execute this project on the animation side? From a code side, which language(s) are you considering?

Thanks for getting back to me!
Software side - we're looking at creating the animations in After Effects and importing them into Mapmapper, which we will use to project the animations on to a 3D object.
Code side - probably Java but if you think another one would work better with LEAP I'd be open to suggestions, basically need something simple which will easily associate certain hand gestures with animations.

Gotcha. I'd encourage you to check out our Java documentation if you haven't already. Most of the Madmapper integrations I've seen in the wild use Processing.
