Can I connect a USB hub to a PC for supporting multileap motion devices

Is it possible to use a high speed USB hub to connect to 3-4 leap devices to a PC usb port?

I am trying to increase the area of interaction by placing the devices at a static location but want to try and use the same PC usb port for the inputs from all the leap devices.

We don't recommend plugging in the device via a USB Hub, it may not receive enough power and the USB bandwidth associated with the Hub may not be sufficient for the device to work effectively.

The USB bandwidth of the Leap Motion Controller is approximately 37MB/s so any USB hub would need to be able to handle the combined data throughput and power requirements of all of the devices that you are using combined.

We don't have a specific model that we would recommend. You will need to look at the power and data throughput specifications of any device that you are considering. I would recommend focusing on powered USB hubs that are USB 3.0 compliant.

Hi...i will suggest to connect your "highest speed" devices (hard drives, flash drives, webcams) on a short path (no hubs, if possible) leaving your slower devices (mice, modems, graphics tablets, printers) connected through 1 or more hubs.
Some devices draw their power from the USB port, in those cases make sure they are on a "primary port" or powered hub. Devices that have their own power supply will work fine on an unpowered hub.

This decision comes down to your specific requirements and what you are looking to use the hub for.

The Anker hub should be able to cope with the Leap Motion Controller without issue whilst the Kinsound hub offers a variety of ports and functionality that reflect the higher price tag.
