I have installed all the drivers and plugings that come with the Leap VR kit. I can see the device working in the app examples. Though it doesn't work very good. I can see the deivce is connected and the testing comes back all green.

When I go to open Blocks or VR Visualizer two things pop up:

A black screen with icons showing that I should plug the device in

Bottom of screen a notification that I need to update the software

??? Please help I just got this deivce and would love to start using it. I'm not sure what else to do. I have tryed all 8 USB ports 2 and 3 and same problems

We released a software update earlier today. Please try downloading the latest version of Orion from developer.leapmotion.com and reinstall the software to see if you continue experiencing this issue.

If you do, please check the following:
Does the LED on the side of the device turn on?
What color is the Leap Motion Control Panel icon in your system tray?
What does the text say when you hover your mouse over the Leap Motion Control Panel icon?

downloaded the latest version, but didn't help.
Pc = Windows 10 64bit.

the Leap Motion System tray app is Green.

Just to confirm, which software version do you have installed? The latest V2 build, or Orion?

when i go to the about it says Software Version 2.3.1+31549
so i assume this would be the latest V2 build ?

want me to install the Orion Beta ? i don't mind smile

I am also having this exact same issue, everything is green and good to go but it just says I need to plug my leap motion in.
I'm running the orion beta I'm pretty sure

I'm a little late to the party, but could you try reverting to the V3 core software? Do any other demos work?
