I'm interested in Leap Motion for motion capture purposes. I'm going to be using Unreal Engine to record the body mocap in real time and I was wondering if Leap Motion has the ability to stream live in UE4 to control the fingers of the skeletal mesh only?
If UE4 isn't possible, I was wondering if the process in motion builder (or maya) could be something like this:
- Import the full body mocap data of an animated mesh.
- Retarget the fingers of the skeleton to Leap Motion for real time use.
- Control and record the fingers of the animated mesh as the the timeline plays the original full body mocap data.
I was wondering if Brekel controls the hand position too and if I could disable that (since I will already have the hand movement from my body mocap suit).
