@AlexColgan hi sir . I'm currently doing my thesis right now and it is about swimming virtual reality game using your leap motion sensor . Is it possible to implement that kind of game ? just asking . and is the android sdk ready yet?

Unfortunately the older SDK is not available while we transition to the Orion SDK. Just want to say we really appreciate everyone's patience while we hammer away at the blockers -- both internal to our own software, and external platform-level challenges -- that stand in our way. It's important to us that what we release is something that we can support and stand behind, and that it represents a clear path forward to development.

@yanez96 I can confirm that the data passthrough on the Gear VR 2 is effective.

@choukaweng Since we're building the SDK for VR, in many ways we're trying to hit a moving target. As a result, defining our roadmap depends a lot more on triangulating our own platform's strengths and capabilities with those of existing and emerging platforms than it ever has before. Work on other compelling Android platforms is in progress and we expect to have more to share fairly soon.

Just Android; we have no plans for an iOS SDK. That may change if Apple decides to pursue mobile VR in the future.

We have no set timeline for the SDK release, so your best bet would be to pursue an alternative route.

Weird, thanks. Fixed. Looks like there was a parsing issue when I revised it to include higher-level Snapdragon chipsets.

@AlexColgan How to obtain tracking data from websocket and use / map it into prefabs and 3D Hand Models in unity3D?

PS: So far I can obtain tracking data remotely from websocket but unable to convert the Json data into usable ones in Unity3D (which I can show data like frame ID / timestamp but I can't assign "hands" / "pointables" data into array to use it). Is there other ways to achieve that as I can't find the Frame.Deserialize() / Serialize().

Hi Leap team. I find the reason to have the SDK distribution suspended acceptable, I do understand that wile we could be messing around with the old SDK addressing errors that you are already tackling will be double work. However as a community of daredevils, we would like to have access to it. Even if our findings goes no-were. We like to thinker and see how we can bypass the current limitations.

We are not asking for a final product, we would like to have the tools just to keep tinkering with it.

Please have a second thought on having the SDK relaunch. or if possible provide a date for the release. once again does not need to be a final product.

(Personal comments: i just purchased the controller for android VR tinkering... my surprise was im unable to get any help on it; not what i was expecting from a project that would benefit on mass testers)
