@kdgaryanbehzadi The new SDK is a work in progress, stay tuned
@AlexColgan 2 question 1) When The Sdk is Ready ? 2)Is It Possible To Create App For Unity3d For Android With The SDK ?
1) It will be ready when its performance is acceptable for a beta. We have a clear set of goals and an aggressive timeline, but don't announce dates unless the engineering work involved is fairly linear.
2) Yes, certainly. We're building on the Cardboard SDK.
Quick question!
Will this work with Samsung's Gear VR?
The Gear VR consumer edition's USB port only allows for power throughput, no data. Given that, the Leap Motion Controller is unable to work with a Gear VR setup without (1) connecting it to a computer and sending the data wirelessly or (2) disabling all the onboard Gear VR functions and relying on the phone's internal gyros.
@AlexColgan
Hi, I've apply for SDK last Thursday, for Samsung Note 3, Mi Note and Mi 5, all are Snapdragon.
May I know usually, how long does it take for getting SDK for any one of them?
Also, will Mediatek cpu be supported?
Thanks
Thanks for submitting! As mentioned in the earlier post and on the form, we've temporarily halted new admissions to the alpha SDK, since it's going to change soon with a new Orion SDK. We'll email you as soon as the new (faster, better, shinier) SDK is ready.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
As we need the SDK for our college project which hv a tight deadline, may I know is it possible to let us use the old one first? Or the new one would be ready very soon?

Even with the Android SDK, it looks like hardware right now isn't ready for a smooth integration of GearVR and Leap Motion. Does anybody know if there are any plans to improve this on GearVR's side? Or will it be possible to connect the Leap Motion via Bluetooth at some point?
Any update on the Android SDK with Orion? ETA?
@RyanLebar No ETA as of yet.
@AlexColgan Hello Alex, I applied on the online form given for the android SDK. As I am doing research on pairing Leap Motion with Android, could I get access to the older V2 SDK first? If no, do you know any other alternative to pair Leap Motion and Android without the SDK? Thanks.
Hi leap motion team I've apply for SDK today, As we need the SDK for education product, may I know when the new update for new sdk?
Hello leap motion team. I have applied for your SDK. I wonder when will you make the SDK public or at least keep giving access to closed one.
@AlexColganHi alex, Have you seem my Android SDK asking form?
Hi,
I build Android version in Unity3D, but I couldn't use Leap pluged in Android device.Could you give me alpha sdk , because we need for my project.
Thx
The Android SDK is still under development, but in the meantime if you're looking for a way to prototype VR on a mobile headset, you might want to try this approach: http://blog.leapmotion.com/vr-prototyping-less-100-leap-motion-vridge/
In your travels can you see if you can support the Samsung Exynos 5422 and 7420 (Note 5) line of processors. Samsung Exynos 5422 is used in a low cost board from ODROID. This is the link for the specs. http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G143452239825It can be used for a variety of IOT things as well as HUD apps for the auto industry(which is what I am thinking of) It has a version of Android for it as well as Linux. I have seen how you are currently augmenting VR currently which I think is cool but a hands free controller is still cool too
Unfortunately the Exynos 5422 isn't sufficiently powerful to run our core software at high enough framerates to deliver a solid hand tracking experience.
I noticed you closed the form till you finished the new SDK. Is it still possible to get the older Android SDK? I'm doing some experiments with the leap and want to expand it's use with my GearVR for my Computer Vision studies.
