I recently got a couple of LEAP controllers and initially we needed to create innovative interfacing in an Unity App along with the Oculus Rift.
Though we have gotten another idea i would like to throw out there. When doing animation in 3dsmax we often make use of the Biped and Mocap data.
Would it somehow be possible to capture motion from the LEAP controller and map it onto a Biped in 3dsmax?
So instead of interfacing we are talking Motion Capture of hands/fingers instead. Simply to speed up animation process.
