Stuck in Firmware Update

Hello, just installing ... stuck in firmware update loop. I know this is an old topic, but the links to any firmware reset tool are dead and restarting the service only restarts the firmware install loop. Newer solutions? Known issue? User error? lol Thanks!

Anyone have a solution for this issue? Can't really develop anything for your hardware if it doesn't get past the firmware update!

You may need to recalibrate the controller after the firmware is reset

the reset tool hangs at 10% ... the link in the cmd prop leads to a dead page on your site. Any other info you can offer up?

Fifth time was the charm. Firmware is up to date. However, I cannot calibrate. Resume tracking gives all green for a split second, then shows disconnected ... it is connected. This cannot be as intended. This should not be so difficult. Stopping and restarting service does not help, it goes all green then shows disconnected. What's going on here?

Try doing a fresh installation of the Leap Motion software to see if that fixes the issue for you

Tried reinstalling. I see pretty much the same thing. I cannot recalibrate the device. It loads all green on resume tracking and then just says disconnected ... I guess the device works for others so I must be missing something here.

Does restarting the Leap Service do anything for you?

Nope. It will go all green, then when I bring up the recalibrate window, it starts, then disconnects.

Do you happen to have another computer you can try recalibrating the controller with? I'm curious if you run into the same behavior on another machine

Having the same issue: green light, "connected" "good" "streaming" on all status indicators. When I try to run an app involving the Leap, it displays nothing. When I try to recalibrate, the device statues changes to disconnected, and all other status indicators (calibration, tracking, lighting, smudge, etc) all show "n/a". This is... terrible. FYI I have been using the Leap successfully for years, nothing this problematic ever happened. What was your response to this problem?

Try restarting the Leap Service to see if that resolves the issue for you.

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the Leap Motion software and doing a fresh installation from www.leapmotion.com/setup

If you have access to another computer, try testing with that machine as well to see if you run into the same issue

I have reinstalled the software, multiple times. Uninstalled, shut down, boot up, reinstall. Everything completes. The device has a green light. My computer never sees the controller. Tried to run the firmware, it says Please plug in your Leap Motion Controler. It is plugged in.

What color is the Leap Motion Control Panel icon in your system tray and what does the text say when you hover your mouse over the icon?

it is always green color and when mouse is hover on it says "Leap Motion Controller is on". Same problem here.

That should mean the controller is on and working. What app are you trying to use the controller with? Do you see anything when you open up the visualizer from the Leap Motion Control Panel?
