Leap Motion Goes Mobile

Hey all

I appreciate this question is not exactly part of this thread. However I was hoping someone might be able to help. I have downloaded the orion beta for my laptop and installed all the appropriate emulators to run leap on my samsung S7. I'm curious as to why the leap motion visualiser works ok through my samsung but then when I go to play blocks or allspice I can't seem to transfer what I see on the laptop screen through my phone. Am I doing something wrong? Does blocks not work through an android phone? it just seems weird how I can get the visualiser to work but not any of the programs from the leap motion gallery?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

It's likely that your laptop doesn't reach the minimal specs to run most VR experiences. The visualizer is very minimal and doesn't require much in the way of processing power.

I bought a laptop specifically for purpose. The game runs perfect on the laptop just doesn't seem to transfer via rift cat

Your best bet would be to contact the developer VRidge; not sure what the issue might be.

will it support any mobile and please add the vision from leap motion, I use it as a night vision and I cannot take my 20kg pc with me. thanks

How does this announcement affect the future of Leap Motion with non-mobile VR?
Is it still worth it to use the Leap Motion controller as a main input for applications using e.g. Oculus Rift?
Will the stand-alone controller and its dev-mount disappear from the market after the release of Headsets that integrate them?

As a rule of thumb, the upcoming slot-in headsets will support pretty much any Daydream-compatible mobile phone.

The standalone controller and the mount will be around for quite some time to come, though its status as a niche accessory has been a major constraint to its use.

Is there any news about when the mobile sdk will be available? I would also ask if it's possibile to try an alpha/beta version in the meantime.

I usually develop with Unity, mainly for Gear VR.

Hello, is there a place for developers to request development hardware like on Oculus.com?

We have our project released and running well on PC, but need to port to mobile VR soon as possible. The Oculus GO or the GearVR would / should work great for us, but we'd like to start testing / developing the Leap Motion integration with those set-ups. Is there any way currently to run the existing hardware on more current phones like the S8?

I just made a purchase of this for my HTC Vive, but also hope it will work with with my future Pimax 8k headset?? they do offer a leapmotion module, the same one? Are there any VR games supporting this?
