Is it possible to get the spatial position of each pixel in the view of leap motion (just like Kinect) ?If it is possible, then how can I get this information via leap motion sdk?
Could anyone give me an answer?
Hello, the Leap Motion controller does work completely different than the Kinect. While the Kinect generates point clouds, the Leap does not. So it is not possible to get this kind of data. At most you can get the raw image data from the Leap with a bit of hacking.
Fine. I get it. Thank you very much.
BTW, what's the difference between raw image data and point clouds? Can I get spatial information from raw image data then? For example, can I get the depth or height of any object from raw image data?
With some hacking, you can get access to the raw image data the (stereo camera images). There are some videos up which show this:
This is what the Kinect provides (point clouds):
No kind of depth or height information is provided by the Leap Motion controller. Some links you may find interesting:

Okay. Very detailed and attractive. Thanks.
