handsUP! Wordpress Plugin

I just released a plugin for wordpress, which enables your blog to be controlled by the LMC. It supports swipe, circle & grab gestures. It also got LeapCursor.js included so you can also click stuff. You're able to configure everything you need in the admin-menu.

Hi!

Iam happy that someone is takeing care of Wordpress too.
I downloaded your plugin. I see the little hand and i can move it, but when i press the handsUP button in the admin area, i got a "not found" page, so i cant make the necessary settings. Could it be because of my WP version? Iam on 3.5.2.

I just tried it on my system with version 3.5.2 and it does work - besides of the icon in the admin panel. Do you have any other plugins running on your site with which it could interfere?

Yep the icon is also missing. Ive got a few plugins, but i dont think those should interfere yours.

You're right - they don't. But there is a options.php file in your-wordpress-dir/wp-content/plugins/handsup/admin/ ?

Yes, its right there. Ive tried to reinstall too, but no luck.

Edit: I updated my site now to the latest WP version, so the WP files are brand new and there shouldnt be any corrupted files that can couse the problem, but the options.php is still "not found". I dont get it...

I just tried it on the Leap Motion blog with the same effect.

UPDATE: Ditto on my personal site, which has 3.9.1 (disabled all plugins for the sake of simplicity). As well, the two sites are on completely different hosting servers.

Really nice work on the plugin though; I dig the intro screen! Some thoughts:

(1) I feel like the motion scaling could be increased (so smaller hand movements result in bigger changes on the screen). Right now it's roughly 1:1.

(2) It would benefit from some additional UI elements, so that it's clearer what the hand is doing or about to do, especially for actions that are difficult to reverse:

Scrolling works great and can be easily reversed, no problem there.
Grabbing is a nice touch. Maybe I'm thick, but I don't see a loading bar?
Swiping could have a green circle with an arrow (or some such) start to appear at the edge of the page where you're swiping. The full swipe would draw it out completely and trigger the action.
Maybe make the hand icon on the lower right mouse-clickable to show the tutorial window?

Thanks for the notice. I'm really sorry guys, but I can't help you any further right now. First of all I am very short of time at the moment and I still can't reproduce the error on my system. The admin menu works no matter if I install the plugin via the admin panel installer or copying the files out of the zip-archive. Is the admin-menu actually working for anybody or is it just me?

@AlexColgan, I appreciate your inputs! Im not completely sure if I can achieve to change the motion scaling of the hand, since I don't understand every bit of the code of LeapCursor.js (jet). But I am sure gonna give it a try.
The loadingbar should appear on the very top of the page and is the same color as the green bar on the leap motion blog. So maybe that's the reason you couldn't see it. Check it out on your personal site. If you still wont see it there is more likely to be a issue with the theme than with you. As for the last to points - I can totally see to implement that in the next couple weeks.

Any ideas what to do with the screentapgesture?

I see the loading bar now; it was being obscured by my WordPress admin bar. It might be more effective if it appeared as a circle forming around the hand itself, since I find myself focusing on what the hand is doing when I'm performing an action.
