Developer needed for collaboration on a music related project

Hi!

I am a music producer and IT developer (mostly HTML/javascript, with working C++/Objective-C/Cocoa knowledge) but music production is my main source of income. When I enrolled in LM dev programme, I had a "hole" in my schedule but it seemed to have disappeared into thin air

So I need a developer for a collaboration.

I have a really clear vision of a MIDI interface (names "MIDI Motions") for Leap Motion which is different enough from what is available to make sense.

I need a developer that can work in a cross-platform 3D animation + MIDI + Leap Motion environment. 3D will be simple, but it needs to be tuned for low resource needs since it will have to render in parallel with DAW software in a separate window (and perhaps on a second or third monitor).

So we are speaking about a project in a way of:
Leap Motion data --> Transformers/Triggers/Limits --> MIDI data through a virtual MIDI port
with a real time low-latency 3D feedback using a 3D crosshair.

Can you clarify whether you have a budget to pay a developer, or are looking for someone to do this with you for fun, or some other arrangement?

Hi neslikoff,
well this is something I wanted to finish off myself but it turned out that I simply don't have enough time since my primary source of income (music production) had a lift up.
If I hire some for a fee, I would have to be "in charge" and supervise which is also time consuming and then I would rather do it myself when I can.
Otherwise, I am looking for more of a partner co-founder that will understand my idea and drive the project to an alpha stage at which I would start using it in my work to provide feedback for iterations.
I definitely see it as a commercial project and I see a market for it.

I see two versions:

1) 50:50 collaboration (me - idea, general outline of the project, marketing, AdWords - I am certified; partner - coding&technical side of the project - platforms, optimisation etc)

2) 80:20 or similar collaboration with me paying a minimal fee for coding which should be at most 25% of normal market prices

I any scenario what is important is that the developer is motivated to do more than just code.
